The “Baton Rouge Theme Song” is an homage to Henry Turner Jr.s hometown. He wrote the song because he kept seeing incredible changes in the city with all the growth and development after Hurricane Katrina. Turner realized that Baton Rouge was now a boom town, a magnet for new businesses and tourism, with an incredible active night life. After the song was completed, research discovered the current Bicentennial date of January 16, 1817 was listed as the official date of incorporation.
